About this world

HD 110067 g is a sub-Neptune orbiting HD 110067, an orange dwarf (type K0.0V) 105 light-years from Earth. It is about 2.6 times the size of Earth and holds 8.4 Earth masses. It completes an orbit every 54.8 days at 0.26 AU from its star, closer than Mercury is to the Sun.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 440 K (167 °C): far too hot for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2023 by transit with Multiple Observatories. A planet crosses its star and dims it by a tiny, periodic fraction. HD 110067 has 6 known planets; the others are HD 110067 b, HD 110067 c, HD 110067 d, HD 110067 e and HD 110067 f.
