About this world

TOI-4562 c is a gas giant orbiting TOI-4562, a yellow-white F-type star (type F7V) 1.11 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 1.1 times the size of Jupiter (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 5.8 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 10.9 years at 5.2 AU from its star.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 138 K (−135 °C): too cold for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2024 by timing variations with Multiple Observatories. Pulsar, eclipse or transit timings drift as an unseen companion tugs on them. TOI-4562 has 2 known planets; the others are TOI-4562 b.
