About this world

KOI-351 g is a Neptune-like planet orbiting KOI-351, a yellow-white F-type star 2.77 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 0.69 times the size of Jupiter and holds 0.047 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 211 days at 0.72 AU from its star.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 342 K (69 °C): too cold for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2013 by transit with Kepler. A planet crosses its star and dims it by a tiny, periodic fraction. KOI-351 has 8 known planets; the others are KOI-351 b, KOI-351 c, Kepler-90 i, KOI-351 d, KOI-351 e, KOI-351 f and KOI-351 h.
