About this world

UCAC3 113-933 b is a gas giant orbiting UCAC3 113-933, a cool red dwarf (type M0) 172 light-years from Earth. It is about 1.1 times the size of Jupiter (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 21 Jupiter masses.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 2 K (−271 °C): too cold for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2024 by direct imaging with Multiple Observatories. The planet itself is photographed, its star blocked by a coronagraph.
