About this world

TOI-7025 b is a gas giant orbiting TOI-7025, a yellow-white F-type star 1.4 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 1.2 times the size of Jupiter and holds 0.87 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 67 days at 0.35 AU from its star, closer than Mercury is to the Sun, on a strongly elongated orbit (e = 0.81).

Its equilibrium temperature is about 624 K (351 °C), which places it in the optimistic habitable zone: the band where liquid water could exist on a rocky surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2026 by transit with Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). A planet crosses its star and dims it by a tiny, periodic fraction.
