About this world

TOI-6692 b is a gas giant orbiting TOI-6692, a yellow, Sun-like star 1.02 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 1 times the size of Jupiter and holds 0.62 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 131 days at 0.51 AU from its star, on a strongly elongated orbit (e = 0.54).

Its equilibrium temperature is about 467 K (194 °C): far too hot for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2026 by transit with Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). A planet crosses its star and dims it by a tiny, periodic fraction.
