About this world

TOI-4504 d is a gas giant orbiting TOI-4504, an orange dwarf (type K1V) 1.12 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 1 times the size of Jupiter and holds 2 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 41.3 days at 0.22 AU from its star, closer than Mercury is to the Sun, on a strongly elongated orbit (e = 0.29).

Its equilibrium temperature is about 525 K (252 °C): far too hot for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2024 by timing variations with Multiple Observatories. Pulsar, eclipse or transit timings drift as an unseen companion tugs on them. TOI-4504 has 3 known planets; the others are TOI-4504 b and TOI-4504 c.
