About this world
TOI-1634 c is a planet orbiting TOI-1634, a cool red dwarf (type M2) 115 light-years from Earth. It completes an orbit every 103 days at 0.34 AU from its star, closer than Mercury is to the Sun.
Its equilibrium temperature is about 196 K (−77 °C), which places it in the optimistic habitable zone: the band where liquid water could exist on a rocky surface.
It was discovered in 2022 by radial velocity with Multiple Observatories. The star wobbles toward and away from us, Doppler-shifting its spectrum. TOI-1634 has 2 known planets; the others are TOI-1634 b.
