About this world

TOI-1452 b is a super-Earth orbiting TOI-1452, a cool red dwarf (type M4+/-0.) 99.5 light-years from Earth. It is about 1.7 times the size of Earth and holds 4.8 Earth masses. It completes an orbit every 11.1 days at 0.061 AU from its star, closer than Mercury is to the Sun.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 326 K (53 °C): too cold for liquid water on its surface. By the "cosmic shoreline", it has likely held on to an atmosphere.

It was discovered in 2022 by transit with Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). A planet crosses its star and dims it by a tiny, periodic fraction.
