About this world

OGLE-2007-BLG-349L AB c is a gas giant orbiting OGLE-2007-BLG-349L A, a cool red dwarf (type M) 9 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 0.95 times the size of Jupiter (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 0.25 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 7 years at 2.6 AU from its star.

At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2016 by microlensing with OGLE. A foreground star's gravity magnifies a background star; a planet adds a blip.
