About this world

M62H b is a gas giant orbiting M62H, a star. It is about 1.2 times the size of Jupiter (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 2.5 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 3.19 hours at 0.0057 AU from its star, closer than Mercury is to the Sun.

At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2024 by timing variations with South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO). Pulsar, eclipse or transit timings drift as an unseen companion tugs on them.
