About this world

Kepler-69 c is a super-Earth orbiting Kepler-69, a yellow, Sun-like star (type G4V) 2.38 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 1.7 times the size of Earth. It completes an orbit every 242 days at 0.64 AU from its star.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 299 K (26 °C): too cold for liquid water on its surface. By the "cosmic shoreline", it has likely held on to an atmosphere.

It was discovered in 2013 by transit with Kepler. A planet crosses its star and dims it by a tiny, periodic fraction. Kepler-69 has 2 known planets; the others are Kepler-69 b.
