About this world

Kepler-411 e is a sub-Neptune orbiting Kepler-411, an orange dwarf (type K2V) 501 light-years from Earth. It is about 3.3 times the size of Earth (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 11 Earth masses. It completes an orbit every 31.5 days at 0.19 AU from its star, closer than Mercury is to the Sun.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 503 K (230 °C): far too hot for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2018 by timing variations with Kepler. Pulsar, eclipse or transit timings drift as an unseen companion tugs on them. Kepler-411 has 4 known planets; the others are Kepler-411 b, Kepler-411 c and Kepler-411 d.
