About this world

Kepler-1660 AB b is a gas giant orbiting Kepler-1660 A, a yellow-white F-type star (type F7V) 3.88 thousand light-years from Earth. It is about 1.2 times the size of Jupiter (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 5 Jupiter masses. It completes an orbit every 240 days at 0.8 AU from its star.

Its equilibrium temperature is about 415 K (142 °C): far too hot for liquid water on its surface. At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2023 by timing variations with Kepler. Pulsar, eclipse or transit timings drift as an unseen companion tugs on them.
