About this world

CHXR 73 b is a gas giant orbiting CHXR 73, a cool red dwarf (type M3.5) 621 light-years from Earth. It is about 1.1 times the size of Jupiter (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 13 Jupiter masses.

At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium.

It was discovered in 2006 by direct imaging with Hubble Space Telescope. The planet itself is photographed, its star blocked by a coronagraph.
