About this world

2MASS J01033563-5515561 AB b is a gas giant orbiting 2MASS J01033563-5515561 A, a cool red dwarf (type M5.5/M6) 154 light-years from Earth. It is about 1.1 times the size of Jupiter (its size estimated from its mass) and holds 13 Jupiter masses.

At its size it almost certainly keeps a deep envelope of hydrogen and helium. Its atmosphere has already been studied in one spectroscopic observation.

It was discovered in 2013 by direct imaging with Paranal Observatory. The planet itself is photographed, its star blocked by a coronagraph.
